How old is this book?
It is a copy of Homer's Odyssey, translated by Alexander Pope, published by Hurst & Co., Publishers, New York. The book has a hard cover in brown leather, printed with patterns in gold letters. There are few illustrations with tissue paper between them. The pages are bordered with gold and seem to be joined by a sort of ... chain. Or something. I could take a picture, if I had to wait, but it is (someone with knowledge ONLY PLEASE) I could give a rough proposal based on the description ... 1900 before we speak? 1900? Etc. Air tired, but it is certainly in good condition. Purchased in an antique shop for cheap.
