Audio Video Teacher
I am a teacher and want to do a project with my children where they create a movie. ?
I need some software that is easy to use for 8 year olds which will allow a video to be layered with some sounds. Is there a way that PowerPoint can be used where a videoclip and a audio clip can be played at the same time
I would recommend Windows Movie Maker for this purpose. It is simple to use but can create some nice effects. And it also lets the children practice on some proper video editing software.
Since you say it is for teaching 8yo's, presumably at a school, then you may need to speak to your IT department about installing it. If it has not been removed by the IT department, then it should be under the start menu here;
Start > All Programs > "Windows Movie Maker"
If you haven't used it before, you may wish have a look at some of the links below for help. Although it is as simple as drag-and-drop for most functions, you can get some information on adding titles/audio etc.
