Ebay Tips to Avoid list

Read this checklist and save time and hassle. A little diligence will help you avoid scams eBay.

Only buy items with photos. The photograph is a good way to ensure that the seller has actual question. No photo is a good indicator of a scam.

Check the photo against catalog photos. Many scammers use photos taken by others or catalogs auctions online. For the background and lighting. Professionally taken photos have better lighting and clearer backgrounds.

Check the history of users of the seller. This is the comment page and say something like this: "Joined: Saturday August 13, 2001 Location: United States "New sellers or sellers who are members of long standing but not as active sellers are more likely to commit sales auction fraud.

Check the information the seller. If the seller has little or recent comments Feedback as a buyer, but not as a seller this may be a clue. It is easy to get feedback by buying cheap products. Check items the seller has been buying and sale. There are links in the comments of the auction page refers to information on the right side of the page.

Make a Sales eBay auction by the seller including completed auctions. Check if it is sold as before. If it has, ask the previous buyer, if you have them yet. Here is a link to the search form.

Make sure the address you send payment is the same as the address registered seller on eBay. If this is not the same meaning, may be a bit off a scam. Here is the link for the seller's contact information.

If you are buying something expensive call the seller. You can get the phone number with the link above. You must make an offer on the subject in order to obtain contact information. This is a great way to avoid fraud on eBay. If you buy something and feel uncomfortable, call seller.

Seek advice from knowledgeable sources. If you are buying antiques or collectables, you should have an idea of the value and rarity before buying. Like most collectibles you see on eBay were mass produced, will have the opportunity to buy more.

Educate yourself. More information about the elements that are interested in making the antique shops and shows to see what is available. If you factor in transportation costs and uncertainty about the condition many items are cheaper to buy locally. You make new friends who share their interests, and fall not to commit fraud on eBay.

Have a friend make a detour to discuss the issue. I bought some trains last year out of Northern California. (I live in Arizona.) I had one of my friends and watch them pass. He paid the seller then sent I train. I sent my friend a check for the purchase price and then gave some of their work. It's a little more work, but much safer than sending large sums of money to a stranger.

Find information online. Use Google.com to find more information on the specific topic that interests you can find cheaper in a shop, or find the subject is very common and be able to find a source less risky.

Ask the seller questions. This will give you some information on the nature of the seller. If you are unsure of the condition, request additional photos. The best way to avoid eBay fraud is known to the seller.

Check payment options. If the seller only receives orders or money transfers that may be a scam on eBay. If you can pay by credit card, which protects more. Almost everyone loved them all, but I'm sure there are exceptions transaction by credit card can be reversed by calling the issuing bank. Some providers only have orders to prevent bounced checks. If a seller refuses to take anything other than a bank transfer of execution.

Check the description and the tone of the announcement. Does the healthy person willing to sell? Does the person sound like they know what they sell?

If the item is valuable because of its color, ask the seller for pictures with a common theme in the exchange currency. My father bought a rare maroon car that was actually red. Poor lighting Advertiser that the car seems much darker picture. If my father had requested a photo of the car next to a can of Campbell's soup, it is seen that the picture was dark make the car longer than can be darker.

Ask the seller about their return policy. Many suppliers sell as no return, some to sell at a profit if the item is not described correctly. To say that the point of return sold in the auction does not allow the seller to misrepresent question, but it is more difficult for you to press a claim.

Ask yourself "If I saw the item at a show, I buy? "Many times people bid on eBay auctions for items that were ignored. Some reasons for this are greed, ignorance, and impatience. Greed because "it's a low price, and I can always sell at a profit." Ignorance is when you buy items without knowing enough about them. Impatience causes buyers to buy when they are ignorant.

Remember that the vendor is selling. Description words like rare, uncommon, and unique are subjective and more widely used. Some auction items are hard to find, but most eBay are common or relatively common items. Unique is probably the word used to describe more collectibles. Unique means there is a alone. These descriptions are sales techniques to get higher bids by making you think the question is more difficult to find what it is. Ignore them.

Knowing in advance what was willing to lose. I'll buy an auction Train for a hundred dollars without checking with the seller, because I will not lose much sleep over a hundred dollars. You must know your attitude and personality to meet this question.

Know when to cut your losses. If you receive a scam of an eBay auction for 50 bucks is not worth hundreds of hours sleep lost. I know the scammers count on this attitude that allows them to continue ripping people off but not really worth the time to devote to a small loss. Send a complaint with eBay, leave negative feedback, then move forward.

Do not leave feedback until the item is received and are satisfied with it. Score is your leverage to get an advantage if the problem is not as described.

Always a negative vote where the seller is deceptive or is not correct their mistakes. It's his way to warn other bidders. If he had been warned, would could save time and money. The voting system only works if you're willing to leave negatives for bad transactions.

Using EBay Accounts separate buy and sell. This way your selling account is not harmed by retaliation when bad thing for others. You must use exact coordinates when creating each account. EBay will not remove feedback from accounts without accurate contact information.

Do not fall not in love with your eBay account. I use a buying account until it reaches 30-40 feedback and start a new one. Thus, it is unclear What not buy that. Also, because I know that you are using a new account in a few months I can be honest when leaving comments.

If you've been scammed do not endanger the seller. Ebay calls this user "to user threats" and immediately suspended. Some scammers use eBay. Which induces a threatening them, then forward the email to eBay and your account will be canceled. If you have filed a fraud supported by eBay will be closed because "there on eBay does not investigate complaints of non-members. "

If you feel the seller have a friend read your e-mail before sending. Ask your friend for sure be educated and do not include allegations. Be polite and explain why you are unhappy. Insults do not allow. People make mistakes when listing, and many vendors do well. Opening of an attack, you put the seller in another state mind. For the same reason, do not threaten the seller for the poor performance in the first e-mail.

Do not try to renegotiate the price after received your purchase. Explain clearly and politely why you are unhappy and tell the seller you want to return. I will refund the purchase price and shipping in both directions, when I make a mistake. Sometimes I send the buyer to send money rather as a doing well. I never do this when the buyer opens with a demand for a lower price.

In closing, remember, most items you see on eBay are common. You will see again and yet. Do not go buy something, but take your time and wait for the seller to the right and the right item.

EBay is a great forum for buying items interest to your collection, and you can get promoted. In the rare case that I felt cheated, most of the time it was my greed causing problems. If the seller had asked some questions and received additional information before bidding, I would have saved some pain. While there are scams on eBay, a little prevention before you protect.

Have fun buying on eBay, but remember, a bit of caution to do more to protect you than anything else.

The construction of a bicycle and welding?

I have many ideas that I wanted to build since I was little, Now I work and can actually afford to buy the materials I need, I waited to build my own bike. I see on TV a lot of things that people in garages Welding machines usually have what I want to know is how much would cost of these machines, also what you use? What type of training is needed to learn to do basic welding, or can I learn as I go?. So basically im missing aluminum rods to weld together, and possibly some other metals too. So what is the price of these welders? would something like this on ebay would be appropriate for this? http://cgi.ebay.ca/ELectric-FLUX-WIRE-WElder-MACHINE-MIG-100-WELDING-TOOL_W0QQitemZ260381080033QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Automotive_Tools?hash=item260381080033&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72% 3A1215% 7C66% 3A2% 7C65% 3A12% 7C39% 3A1% 7C240% 3A1318

Before you start investing in machines that I suggest you do some research on Details construction of a bicycle frame. Not as easy as buying tubes (not bars) and a welder and join them. You need to understand how mechanisms of pipes and other parties, how to maintain proper alignment and how to control the heat. If you want to learn to weld suggest find a school that offers courses, many of them, or call a welding shop and ask them for a day. for aluminum, welding and successfully complete a bicycle frame will require a TIG welder and annealing treatment facilities and warm atmosphere. This is not an exact science, and is expensive. You can use a TIG welder for steel as well and you do not need the equipment for heat treatment, but you need skills.
