How do I get the dock back on my Dell Inspiron with Windows Vista?
I am extremely frusterated with Dell right I bought an Inspiron 1525 in August of 2008. This May my WLAN card went out for no reason and I had to get EVERYTHING I have reinstalled for it to work. That includes photoshop, my printer, microsoft office: EVERYTHING. And when I got it back from the shop everything is unorganized and just thrown on my laptop when I had this nice little dock to place it on. I spent 1,100 on this middle grade laptop to get extras. I had enough to get a mac, but I didn't think they were much better. The guy at the repair shop told me that Dell is sneaky with that stuff. I may never get one again.
I did not see a dock option under control panel.
your lack of a dock has nothing to do with Dell, that is Windows Vista. However your other problem was Dell specific so I'm not showing love for Dell or anything. However try searching through the control panel for it.

or Click My Computer >> Control Panel (on the far left hand side)
