Can you recommend good language-teaching software?
I'm going to dip into Latin American Spanish...has anyone tried Rosetta Stone? Instant Immersion? Berlitz? Any input will be helpful.

I have never used Rosetta Stone to try and learn a language, but I spent a couple years working as an ESL tutor at a community college and we used the English version of Rosetta Stone. I've thought of getting the Spanish version myself as I took a few years of Spanish and would like to keep learning, especially in a conversational manner.
I think it's decent from what I could see, but again, I wasn't learning on it myself. I did spend several hours training on it though (in English, which I'm fluent in) to get an idea of how it works so I could help students, and I'd say it's pretty easy to use. At the same time, if you don't have any clue what you are doing or know any Spanish already, you might be in trouble. There were some students who didn't really know any English and they'd waste hours on it not learning anything because they just wanted credit for spending time working. But if you're actually trying and know a bit of Spanish already, it should be good.
