Best book for Adobe Illustrator?
What is the best book to learn Adobe Illustrator and Indesign?
I have never had much luck just sitting down and reading a book like that. They are too overwhelming. If you do get one, I'd use it for reference only. I am a whiz at both programs and the way I did it is to just sit down and play with the programs. When you come to something you need help with or can't figure out, then use their help, or just type the question on adobe's support site or a search engine. If there is something more complex or specific you are trying to do, there are tons of online free tutorials. You are going to love illustrator- I used it on a limited basis, but recently I have had to use it a lot, and there is so much cool stuff you can do with it.
