What PDA is good for a student nurse?
I want to buy my cousin one for her last block of nursing school. She only needs 3 books for reference. One drug book, one medical encyclopedia, and one laboratory/diagnostic reference. One of the books says that it requires at least 7900K on the device to run it. Does this mean that I need 3 times that amount for 3 books? I have NO idea what to buy, All I know is that she won't need it for phone service, and that she would like a good-sized display, color of course. Also, does anyone know if she would need to subscribe for internet service, or can she pick it up on the wireless in the hospital? Can anyone help?? THANKS!!
I recommend any of the Windows Mobile devices. Coming from a person whos owned them for many years this is one of the best smartphones for work as well as home use.
Windows Mobile devices support most file types such as but not limited to: Microsoft Office which includes Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. These items come standard on a Windows Mobile Phone.
Relating to the memory question, if you get a good memory card for the phone she cand simply download the book to her memory card and pull it up for reference whenever she wants.
If she doesnt need the phone for service, she can simply buy a phone with a bad ESN and use it. What this means is that she would not ever be able to activate the phone on a wireless network however the phone would still work therfor she would not need to have a data plan.
If she DOES need service for the phone I recommend the HTC Touch Pro 2, Touch Diamond as well as any of the HTC brand phones.
