Professor Learn Photoshop
What's the best way to handle a learning problem?
I got a learning problem since my childhood.My parents didn't paid enough attention as they thought I was just abstracted.Years passed , I am at university and the small problem became a major one.As the subjects turn harder and harder,I got a great difficulty to catch up with the professor and comprehend the subjects.My problem exists also at home.I am easily distracted,I lose my concentration, my mind travels to useless thoughts,and I forget things after or I don't understand them.Also I need 10x the time a normal person needs to study a page(e.g. Basics of differential equations)and I need a perfectly silent enviroment to study.Is there anyway I can prove my parents that I got a learning problem.Cause they doesnt seem to distinguish memorizing from learning.
Usual quote from my father "You remember what mistake I did in photoshop 3 years ago,you don't got a learning problem!"
Most colleges have a disabled students services office. Find the one at your school. While it can initially feel stigmatizing to go to them, know that 'disabled' has a wide range of meanings. They can help you figure out what's going on and connect you to resources (which include their communicating with profs so as to ease your way) that will help you to succeed. You need to be on a more even playing field-- more time for exams or other such support-- so that you can show your true talents.
