Who uses really Advanced Math for what kind of a job?
I get that basic math is used everyday. I used it when the register was broke for several weeks when I worked inside a gas station that had a sandwich stop inside. I get that nurses use simple algebra sometimes with medicine they are giving patients. I get that interior designers use gemontry installing carpet, windows, painting etc.
Who however uses Advanced Algebra {other than a high school math teacher}? Who uses Trignomtry, and what about Calclous? It seems these are only used by professor who actually teach the stuff and for what? I as I said see uses for lower math but the really Advanced stuff why bother learning, I don't get it.
BTW I am not a student and if I were to reenter college ever I wouldn't enter with out studying PreAlgebra by myself before I went then I could start by taking Algebra 1 (for the 3rd time in my life) and hopefully be able to move on.
Engineers and architects tend to use advanced math in order to calculate how to build things.
It is not a matter of needing calculus in the future, it is a matter of exercising your mind to be able to understand it. I really feel that learning throughout the years in school, enhances your brain capacity.
