Rabbit Thinking Adventures
Watership Down...will they ever make a movie?
Watership down is one of my FAVORITE books! I fell in love with the characters, the adventure, and all of the frith stuff 
I know they made a cartoon, and it was good
Do you ever think though that they will make a "REAL" movie, with real rabbits, with computer animated mouths?
Sure it would be a tough project, but they did it for other movies, like cats and dogs.

I think the animated one was good because it allowed some of the symbolism through + it would be very easy to make a very bad movie using real rabbits: training cats and dogs is possible, rabbits more difficult and there could well be issues with animal rights in setting the warrens on fire.
They would probably use computer animation for a lot more than the mouths but still retain a realistic effect but they would have to be very selective about what they portrayed (would you show souls and how much dialogue would happen in which the visuals were just a couple of rabbits in a field. It sounds like a good idea though and I'm sure someone must have considered it so eventually it is bound to happen (perhaps even more likely is the universe is infinite and we have a roomful of rabbits with typewriters).
