I ask for native speakers of English who learning foreign language?
whatever language you are learning, have you ever memorized words(vocabulary)? I'm Korean and learning English. in Korea, many Koreans are memorizing English words in a English-Korean dictionary. but I think it is a wrong way to learn foreign language. am I wrong? now, I don't memorize vocabulary and just read a book and look it up in a English dictionary for ESL learner(such as Longman, Collins Cobulid) if I can find words that I don't know. is my way a wrong way?
I speak English and I'm learning Italian and French. Sometimes you just have to memorize some vocabulary. As you get better you can pick up more words from reading. I think you're doing okay.
