Training You Photoshop

I am transitioning from a PC to a Mac (Powerbook.) What can I expect (good and bad)

I am a mid boomer. My PC skills are mid level. Mostly I use my PC for "image editing" (gag - we usta call it workin' in the darkroom) and listening to music. All of my Mac friends (you know those folk that wear black turtlenecks and sip coffee beverages at SkyHigh Prices Coffee Shop) told me I want a Mac. After a trip to the Apple Store I still didn't have a good feeling about what to excpect (those folk are TRAINED or PROGRAMMED on how to sell - MAN they are GOOD)
Sooo .... hold the supurlatives ( i.e. - your life will be CHANGED! Its so much better) What will I like what will frustrate me? I currently use Photoshop Elements on the PC and haven't figured out what to use on the Mac laptop

The biggest (or at least the most immediately noticeable) difference between a Mac and a PC is the interface, but besides that, I expect that you would very quickly adapt to the Mac. Ultimately, they're both computers, and even though I use a PC, I can hop onto my friends' Macs and pretty much do anything that they can as full-time Mac users. On a Mac, there's programs like iPhoto and Aperture that you can use for photo editing, but there's also a version of Photoshop Elements that you can use with a Macintosh.
