Video Tutorial Course
How hard is the CCNA?
Can I do it alone ?
With books, virtual simulators (router), and maybe a video tutorial ?
Or do I need a real-time hand on exercise for that ?
Reason I'm asking is because my local technological institute has a discount 30% on the whole CCNA course, thats why Im thinking of attending.
So either study it alone (which I dont know how long will that take me) or Do it in the institue.
Help appreciated.
Well this depends on a couple of things, first, how technically minded are you? How much network, topology, protocol knowledge do you currently have? What kind of experience do you already have? Do you have any networking background at all?
How driven are you (would you be willing to spend hours reading material and practicing using the simulartor?)?
If you have answered none to more than one of those questions, then the institutional training is probably best for you. The instructional course will take you from the beginning through the test and will give you what you need to pass the test. Even with the institutional training it's probably best that you have at least a basic understanding of networking technologies though, I would suggest to start with something not quite as aggressive as the CCNA, maybe go towards a Network + certification first, to give you the background and foundation information for the Networking technologies. Then go after your CCNA.
